Snug among 26 acres of tall pine trees, Five Branches Camper Park has 3,000 feet of frontage on the picturesque Vallecito Lake and the roaring Pine River. Across the bridge, you'll find full hookup sites, a tenting area, new fully equipped cabins with kitchens, some with ADA handicap access, camper cabins in wooded surroundings, with a view of clear blue water backed by snow-capped peaks. Modern restrooms, coin hot showers, and coin laundry are on-site. 24x30 foot pavilion for group dinners. Photographers will love the stunning wildflower beds. Playground will keep the kids busy. Camp store has groceries, snacks, camping supplies, fishing and hunting licenses, gift shop and delicious hand dipped ice cream cones. Planned activities include horseshoes, volleyball, and weekend breakfasts. Hot Tub ($).

Take a horseback ride San Juan Mountains or an evening lake cruise as the setting sun casts colorful images onto the rippling water. Mountain bike trails start at Five Branches. There's plenty of river and lake fishing for avid anglers and you can rent a pontoon, canoe, kayak, paddle boat, fishing boat and mountain bike from our park. Side trips to Silverton, Mesa Verde National Park and Ouray are great for those who like to explore. Take a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow gauge train. Enjoy local hot springs pool.
